Potato Salad Nepali Style

Recipe Detail
Step 1
You will need the following ingredients to serve 4 people:

Potato - 400 grams
Spring garlic - 100 grams
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Green chilies - 4 pieces
Ginger - 10 grams
Garlic cloves - 6 cloves
Onion - 1 piece
Tomato - 1 piece
Lemon - 1 piece
Mustard oil - 50 milliliters
Fenugreek powder - 1 table spoon
Turmeric powder - 1 table spoon
Roasted cumin powder - 1 table spoon
Dry chili powder - 1 table spoon
Chili flakes - 1 table spoon
Chili paste - 6 table spoons
Sesame powder - 5 table spoons
Spring garlic - 100 grams
Salt - to taste

You will also need the following utensils
1 Mixing bowl
2 Table spoons
1 Lemon squeezer
1 Pairing knife
1 Cutting knife
1 Chopping board
1 Tong
1 Sauce pan
1 Frying pan
2 Ladles

Step 2
Boil the potatoes in a sauce pan until they are cooked.

Step 3
Dip the boiled potatoes in cold water to cool it off, then peel the potatoes using a paring knife and cut it into cubes.

Step 4
Chop off the roots of the spring garlic and cut diagonally

Step 5
Cut the coriander leaves into thin pieces and the green chilies into thin slices

Step 6
Cut the ginger into long thin pieces and the garlic cloves into small pieces

Step 7
Cut a lemon into two halves and use a lemon squeezer to get the juice

Step 8
Chop off the top of a tomato and cut it into thin slices. Repeat the same process with an onion.

Step 9
Heat the frying pan, add 50 ml of roasted mustard oil, and fry some fenugreek powder and the green chillies

Step 10
Add the ginger, garlic and onion

Step 11
Add a table spoon of turmeric powder and salt to taste. The mixture is ready

Step 12
Put the cut potatoes in a serving bowl and add the above prepared mixture. Add 1 table spoon each of roasted cumin powder and dry chilli powder.

Step 13
Add one table spoon each of chilli flakes and chilli paste along with six table spoons of sesame powder

Step 14
Add some spring garlic and green coriander leaves. Mix well and pour about 30 ml of water for moisture

Step 15
Garnish using some salad Leaves and coriander
